‘Murmures’ Documentary

Film direction | edit

Murmures examines the relationship between people and the places they inhabit. It draws a portrait of a building through the stories of its neighbours, while exploring how the combination of art and community work can become a powerful tool to reclaim public space.

Architect and muralist María Orovio spends a month living and working together with the 24 tenants of the nursing home at the number 42 Enclos Rey street, a narrow street inside the Gambetta-Richelieu district in Nîmes, in order to fill with colour the more than 800 m2 of it’s iconic façade.
